Join the South Street Seaport Museum for the eagerly awaited return of its monthly open house, Fresh Prints! On March, step into the creative world of Bowne & Co. and explore a variety of unique printing equipment open for your use.

đ A Glimpse into History:
Established in 1775, Bowne & Co., Inc. is recognized as one of New York's oldest printing firms. The current Bowne at the Seaport Museum continues the legacy of small batch printing, reflecting its historic roots.
â Event Details:
- Preregistration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows.
- Open to everyone aged 12 and up.
- Each participant can take home their printed items! (If you canât stay for the full 90 minutes, it's okay to leave earlyâbut you might miss out on a special print!)
đ About Bowne & Co.:
Founded by Robert Bowne in 1775, Bowne & Co. stands as New Yorkâs oldest operational business still bearing the same name. Initially thriving as a financial printer throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, it collaborated with the Seaport Museum in 1975 to create a 19th-century-style print shop located at 211 Water Street in the South Street Seaport Historic District. Please note that access to historic ships and exhibitions is not included with your ticket to this event. To delve deeper into the museumâs offerings, book your General Admission tickets in advance or inquire with Museum staff upon check-in. General Admission is available from Friday to Sunday, 11 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to board the 1885 tall ship Wavertree and the 1908 lightship Ambrose, as well as explore exhibitions in the first-floor Schermerhorn Row galleries at 12 Fulton Street.
