About the Show:
Dive into the world of Molière, often referred to as “La Maison de Molière,” as the celebrated Comédie-Française presents a fresh interpretation of one of his foundational comédie-ballets. This lively satire illustrates the extravagant efforts of a bourgeois merchant striving to climb the ranks of nobility.
Directed by the talented duo Valérie Lesort and Christian Hecq, this production offers a modern twist to the timeless farce with outrageous costumes and a vibrant soundscape inspired by Balkan music. The performance runs approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes without an intermission.
