About the Performance:
UN-spoken is a deeply personal exploration of the effects of bullying and social exclusion, inspired by Elodie’s own life experiences. This poignant work combines intense physical storytelling with intimate narration to shed light on issues of emotional trauma and resilience.
Elodie shares her motivation behind this poignant piece, stating: “I was targeted because my parents were married in a community where many families were fractured… These repeated attacks shaped my understanding of how cruelty is often rooted in insecurity…” 💔
At the heart of this performance is original spoken word content created by Devin Kozlosky, interwoven with a unique soundscape blending contemporary artists with cinematic and neo-classical compositions. The dance is performed by an extraordinary lineup including Victoria Amado, Elodie Dufroux, Rosalind (Roz) Hsu, and Hara Zi.
About Elodie Dufroux:
Originally from Loudun, France, Elodie is a versatile artist engaged in live performance as well as commercial and theatrical ventures. She has collaborated with renowned choreographers such as Jon Rua of Hamilton, Luis Salgado, and Carlos Neto from Atlantic Records.
