Kinder Scout – Intermediate Guided Walk - Peak District

Join us for a stunning guided journey up Kinder Scout, starting from the charming Edale village! 🌿 This walk is perfect for those looking to venture into intermediate-level hiking at a comfortable pace.

Details:

• Distance: Approximately 7 miles
• Ascent: 500m with some short, easy scramble sections
• Meeting Time: 8:30am to set off at 8:45am
• Location: Edale village car park

Your friendly guide, Sarah Lister, will lead you through the impressive Kinder plateau, showcasing its unique gritstone boulders shaped by the elements, alongside spectacular views of the Mam Tor ridge when weather permits. 🏞️

This walk is ideal for anyone who is:

• Gradually improving their fitness
• Curious about mountain walking without overwhelming themselves
• New to the area and eager to connect with others
• Unsure about trekking on Kinder Scout solo

After our exhilarating hike, we can optionally head to a cafe or pub for some well-deserved refreshments (please bring your own money for food/drinks). 🍽️

Important Info:

• Expect steep paths with loose rocks and short easy scrambles.
• There will be breaks in ascent and we'll cross two shallow narrow brooks.
• While the descent back to the village includes some steep sections, they are more gradual than the ascent.
• Walking poles are suggested for this adventure.
• Essential gear includes walking boots and waterproofs.

We’ll share parking details, a kit list, and weather forecasts ahead of the walk to ensure you're fully prepared. This guided experience is for adults 18+ only and is not suitable for dogs due to local livestock. 🐑
