Founded by singer and guitarist Magnus Pelander, Witchcraft has become one of the most influential names in the Swedish heavy metal scene since the turn of the millennium. Bursting onto the scene with their self-titled debut in 2004, they have captivated audiences with their unique blend of classic rock and doom metal, solidifying their place as one of the genre's most distinct acts.

With a sound that paved the way for a wave of 70s-influenced rock bands in Sweden during the 2000s, this Örebro-based group secured their record deal after the release of their single “No Angel or Demon” in 2002. Their debut album, “Witchcraft,” released two years later, was met with widespread acclaim for its authentic old school sound. Since then, the band has launched an additional five albums, with the latest being “Black Metal” released in 2020. While their music has gradually evolved to include a more modern flair, the roots in classic rock and doom are undeniably present.

Now, Witchcraft returns with their seventh album, Idag, released this May. It serves as a powerful manifestation of who Witchcraft is in 2025. Fans eager for a nostalgic journey back to the heavy and progressive rock landscapes of the 70s will not be disappointed! 🎶
