🎶 WHO'S CRAZY: International Jazz Quartet! 🎷

Join us for an electrifying evening featuring Léna-Schroll, Barcelona, Pudláková, and Meissner, an international quartet that fuses four talented musicians from Paris, Prague, and Leipzig! This ensemble was born from a spontaneous collaboration at the International Jazz Platform in Łódź, 2024.

The quartet will perform together for the first time in March 2026, embarking on a journey that transcends the boundaries of free improvisation, composition, and original pieces. Their music serves as a contemporary lens through which classic sounds are reimagined, merging modern jazz, free improvisation, and elements of contemporary music into a dynamic and expressive tapestry.

Meet the Musicians:

• Antonio Barcelona - A French drummer whose rhythmic language is rooted in physicality and exploration, inspired by avant-garde jazz and punk-jazz aesthetics.
• Sol Léna-Schroll - Alto saxophonist, a dynamic presence in both the French and Norwegian jazz scenes, known for his strong compositional skills and deep collective improvisation.
• Klára Pudláková - A double bassist and composer from Prague, she offers unique musical depth, blending experimental jazz with folk influences and contemporary classical music.
• Vincent Meissner - A German pianist based in Leipzig, bringing a lyrical touch and a curious approach to the ensemble, constantly exploring the evolution of sound.

This concert is part of the WHO'S CRAZY series, curated by Helena Konvalinová, spotlighting explorative jazz and improvisation.
