🎷 Deface the Currency — the latest collaborative album by The Messthetics and James Brandon Lewis — is born out of instinct and passion.

This incredible ensemble features saxophonist James Brandon Lewis teaming up with the core members of The Messthetics: Brendan Canty on drums, Joe Lally on bass, and Anthony Pirog on guitar. After an extensive summer tour in 2025, Canty felt the group's chemistry develop further and decided it was time for a studio session.

This quartet had previously dazzled listeners with their self-titled debut album on the renowned Impulse! jazz label just a year earlier. To capture their evolved sound, they booked time at Tonal Park in Takoma Park, Maryland, with engineer Don Godwin. Don't miss out on this captivating evening of music!
