Spring Heavy Trash Days

Join us for the 2026 Spring Heavy Trash Days in Plainfield, taking place on April 11th and April 18th from 08:00 to 15:00! 🕒

Residents can drop off acceptable heavy trash items at the dumpsters located at the Wastewater Department entrance at 990 S. Center Street.

Accepted Items Include:

• Furniture 🛋️
• Many bulky items

Items NOT Accepted:

• Hazardous waste (e.g., TVs, computer monitors, fridges with freon) ❌
• Tires 🚫
• Building materials 🧱
• Yard waste 🌱

Important Notes:

• Mattresses must be dumped by residents themselves for sanitary reasons. DPW staff will not handle such items. 🛏️
• Please ensure gas and oil are removed from lawn mowers and leaf blowers before disposal.

For items containing freon and electronics, please take them to Hendricks County Tox-Away Days, from May 2 to October 3 at various locations, including the Hendricks County Fairgrounds. For more info, call 317-858-6070. 📞

Additionally, document shredding will be available at the same times in the parking lot of the Plainfield Community School Corporation Administration Building (985 Longfellow Ln, Plainfield, IN 46168).
