SPIDERGAWD formed in 2013 as a side project of Motorpsycho musicians Bent Sæther (Bass) and Kenneth Kapstad (Drums). They were joined by vocalist and guitarist Per Borten, and saxophonist Rolf Martin Snustad.
Their self-titled debut album was released in 2014 through Crispin Glover Records, followed by their second studio album, Spidergawd II, in 2015. That same year, they received the Bendiksenprisen, a prestigious music award from the Norwegian Ministry of Culture.
In 2016, SPIDERGAWD's third album Spidergawd III achieved the band's first chart position in Norway at number 24. Following this, founding member Bent Sæther departed and was replaced by Hallvard Gaardløs.
They released four more albums, with Spidergawd VII debuting in 2023.
Now, they are hitting the road in Europe with their new album in 2026!
