SEGRAVE 100 LAND SPEED RECORD CELEBRATIONS

Join us in Southport as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of Sir Henry Segrave's remarkable achievement of setting a world land speed record on Ainsdale Sands on 16 March 1926. This historic event marked the last time a circuit racing car established such a record, with the legendary Sunbeam Tiger, powered by a 4-litre V12 supercharged engine.

Thanks to the patronage of VJ Mallya's family, the Sunbeam will return to Southport for this special occasion!

📍 Location: Waterfront Hotel, Southport
💷 Tickets: £95/head for a 4-course gourmet meal, or £750 for a table of 8.

🔹 Sunday, 15 March – Segrave 100 Concours
📍 Location: King’s Gardens, Promenade, Southport
💷 Entry Fee: £25 per car, free for dinner attendees.
This event recalls the famous 1903 Southport Speed Trials, featuring notable racing figures.

🔹 Monday, 16 March – Segrave 100 World Land Speed Record Celebration
📍 Location: Ainsdale Beach, Promenade, Ainsdale, Southport
💷 Entry Fee: £100 per vehicle; £90 if attending the Dinner.
This is a non-competitive display and parade with 6 classes for cars registered up to 1950. Beach Parade Runs from 10:30 to 12:30 including the Sunbeam’s parade from 11:30 to 12:30.
