Petra Poláčkova – Classical Guitar Concert

The Milford Arts Council and the New England Guitar Society proudly present Petra Poláčkova, an award-winning Czech guitarist celebrated for her emotional depth and finesse in the Baroque and Romantic guitar repertoire.

Petra began her musical journey at the young age of six, honing her skills at the Pardubice Conservatory. She later achieved her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with honors under the mentorship of Prof. Paolo Pegoraro at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. Currently, she serves on the faculty at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar and the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus/Aalborg.

Her captivating performances have taken her across Europe, the United States, Mexico, Chile, and Australia, enchanting audiences with her exquisite musicianship and commanding stage presence. Notable recordings include WEISS (2020), featuring works by Sylvius Leopold Weiss, and J.K. Mertz (Bridge Records, 2025), produced by David Starobin.

The New England Guitar Society fosters a vibrant community for classical guitarists to collaborate, perform, and learn. They host guest artists for public concerts and master classes in the acoustically rich chamber concert hall of the Milford Arts Council.
