Join us for an exciting Open House event at the Daniel Boone Homestead in honor of Pennsylvania's Birthday! 🎈 Formerly known as Charter Day, this special celebration marks the anniversary of William Penn receiving his land grant from King Charles II in 1681.

🛡️ Enjoy a day filled with eighteenth-century demonstrations, trades, and hands-on activities! Here’s what’s in store:

• Tours of the Boone House: Discover the stories of the three families who resided here during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
• Live Cooking Demonstrations: Volunteers will prepare a traditional meal over the open hearth while discussing the “6 Weeks of Want.”
• Apothecary Display: Learn about eighteenth-century medicine in the parlor.
• Open Buildings: Explore the Smokehouse, Blacksmith Shop, Homestead Barn, and Bertolet Log House.
• Craft Shop Activities: Try your hand at quill pen writing and discover educational methods from the past.
• Colonial Toys & Games: A fun experience for children and families!

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
