Ready to explore the stunning North Kent shoreline? We're excited to invite you on a leisurely coastal walk from Margate to Herne Bay on 20 June 2026. Enjoy breathtaking sea views, picturesque cliffs, beautiful beaches, and plenty of photo opportunities along the way! 📸

• Meeting Point: 8:45 AM at Victoria Station (near Boots, No. 27)
• Departure Time: 9:00 AM
• Estimated Return to London: Around 8:30 PM
• Start Location: Margate Station
• Finish Location: Herne Bay Station

🚶‍♂️ Hike Information

• Distance: Approximately 22 km (one-way)
• Difficulty Level: Moderate (mainly due to distance)
• Total Ascent: About 111 m
• Terrain: Coastal promenade, cliff-top paths, with some beach sections
• Underfoot Conditions: Mostly firm/paved paths, with some shingle or firm wet sand depending on tides

🌟 Route Highlights

Walk through charming seaside towns and stunning coastal stretches, including Westgate-on-Sea, Birchington, and the dramatic Reculver Towers. We'll finish the walk at Herne Bay, right by the pier! Whether the tide is low or high, expect a unique experience with varying beach conditions.

When you choose group transport, we’ll travel together from the station round trip! For those wishing to return separately, please purchase your individual ticket in advance.
