Kinder Scout – Beginners Guided Walk | Peak District

Join us for a breathtaking guided walk up Kinder Scout, starting from the picturesque Edale village. This event is perfect for beginners who wish to enjoy walking at a leisurely pace over a manageable distance.

⬆️ Ascent: 340m with some steep sections
⏰ Meeting Time: 08:45 for a 09:00 start

Your friendly guide, Sarah Lister, will lead you on a route featuring breathtaking viewpoints, interesting rock formations, and a charming brook. As a local, Sarah will share insights into the area's rich history and geology during our stroll.

This guided walk is ideal for:

• Those gradually building up fitness
• Individuals curious about mountain walking but prefer a gentler introduction
• Newcomers eager to explore rocky terrains in an easy setting
• Locals wanting to meet new people
• Anyone feeling apprehensive about hiking Kinder Scout solo

After the walk, there will be an optional stop at a cafe or pub for refreshments (drinks/food at your own expense).

Although the ascent and descent are steep, we will maintain a steady pace and take plenty of breaks. Some rocky terrain will require hand usage, but it's manageable at an easy level. Your guide is here to support you! 👍
Note: One wooden stile must be crossed, and walking poles are recommended for the final steep section. Parking details, a kit list, and weather forecasts will be shared before the walk. Essential Gear: Walking boots and waterproofs.
