International Women's Day Walking Tour

🌍 In celebration of International Women’s Day, join us for an enlightening walking tour highlighting the remarkable contributions of women associated with the Oxford Road Corridor in Manchester! 🏛️✨ Discover the inspiring stories of artists, writers, scientists, and campaigners, including the notable Elizabeth Gaskell.

📍 Starting at Grosvenor Square (All Saints Park), off Oxford Road, our guided journey will conclude at the iconic Elizabeth Gaskell’s House. Your ticket not only includes the tour but also grants you entry to the house, where you can delve deeper into the life of this extraordinary writer and social reformer.

✨ Led by Philippa Vishnyakov, a qualified Green Badge Guide with over a decade of experience, you'll be captivated by her passion for unearthing women's contributions to Manchester's history.

🎟️ Ticket Price: £18 (£16 for students). This includes a 90-minute tour, entry to Elizabeth Gaskell’s House, and a complimentary copy of the new book I’ve Never Read Elizabeth Gaskell.

💖 Proceeds from ticket sales support Elizabeth Gaskell’s House, a cherished independent museum and registered charity dedicated to preserving her literary legacy.

🚶‍♀️ This tour celebrates women but is open to all adults! The walking route and the house are wheelchair accessible. Please note that only assistance dogs are allowed on the walk and inside the house.
