Join us for an innovative theatrical experience that transcends borders! Two audiences will step into their respective theatres simultaneously, one in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the other in El Kef, Tunisia. All they have is a digital projection on the back wall where they can see each other! 🎭👀

🌍 Overview

Crying by the Sea touches on the profound impacts of socio-economic migration through poetic themes of distance, loss, borders, and longing. During the performance, you'll receive a script and be invited to read it aloud about crossing borders—both physical and metaphysical—alongside attendees in Tunisia. You can participate in Danish, English, or Arabic. After the reading, you will have the opportunity to rewrite the script, contributing your version for future audiences. ✍️🗣️

This project has been crafted through workshops held in Denmark and Tunisia, aiming to transform the theatre space into a collective space for processing grief and fostering new connections. The artistic team has developed this performance's livestream from the ground up to create self-organized online infrastructures for digital artistic meetings. 💻🎨
