Freehay in Spring

Join us for March's enchanting ride at Freehay, hosted by the Derbyshire Group of EGB! 🌼 This is a delightful adventure perfect for tree lovers, inviting you to relax and soak in stunning views along the way.

Ride Details:

• Date: Sunday, 22nd March 2026
• Time: 10:00 - 12:00
• Location: Freehay, ST10 1RF
• Routes: Choose from two options: 11.5km or 22km.

This gentle ride primarily takes you off-road around Freehay Quarry and Dimmingsdale, with marked paths that wind through peaceful bridleways and quiet lanes. 🌲 Whether you're experienced or just starting, this course is designed to accommodate all fitness levels, and it's barefoot friendly!

Expect a hint of adventure with gentle hills and two small water crossings, plus two manned road crossings for your safety. The longer route will allow opportunities to interact with walkers and cyclists. 👫🚴

Capture the moment with our dedicated photographer along the route, and all participants will receive rosettes to commemorate their experience! 🏵️
