Workshop Breakdown:

1. Set Preparation:

   • What matters and what to consider
   • Selecting the right tracks for your set
   • How tracks complement each other and suit the event
   • Choosing the right medium for performance
   • Preparing songs for your set (BPM analysis, etc.)

2. Theory:

   • Key signatures / Circle of fifths: Which track fits best musically?
   • Transitions: Techniques for beatmatching and creative genre-shifting

3. Practice: Hands-on experience with DJ equipment. Feel free to bring your laptop and USB sticks with tracks and DJ software such as Rekordbox, though it's not required.

About Your Instructor:

Andreas Posch is a multi-Emmy-nominated sound designer and musician from Salzburg. Under his DJ alias HRST, he has graced booths worldwide. Co-founder of the party series FOREVER TWENTY SOMETHING, Andreas has a background in Multimedia Art at FH Salzburg with a focus on audio, enriched by professional experiences in Berlin and Vienna. Currently, he works as an audio engineer, sound designer, and musician.
