Join us at Stockholm University for the NYRIS Conference 2026: Dialogues in Youth Studies. Theories, Methodologies, Ethics!

Youth is a complex social, political, and temporal category shaped by cultural narratives, institutional frameworks, and societal processes. Often viewed as both a promise for the future and a challenge, young people are positioned as a voice of conscience during crises while also perceived as vulnerable individuals needing direction and support.

This conference aims to bring together international researchers to foster critical discussions on contemporary youth research within the Nordic context and beyond. We will delve into:

• Theoretical frameworks that shape our understanding of youth lives and societal conditions
• Methodological approaches used to explore youth experiences, perspectives, and practices
• Ethical considerations that guide our research efforts
