They will later collaborate with a Toronto big band to unveil Pérez’s new masterpiece, The Panáfrica Suite: Echoes from the Isthmus, co-commissioned by the RCM.

With a rich background spanning over three decades, Grammy-winning Panamanian pianist-composer Danilo Pérez has established himself as a pioneering force in contemporary music. His work features a unique blend of Panamanian roots, Latin American folk music, West African rhythms, and European impressionism, demonstrating his belief that music can serve as a borderless and multidimensional bridge connecting all people.
