🌟 Join Us for a Special Fundraiser Event! 🌟
Date: 27 juni 2026
Location: Cadomin, AB, Canada
Mark your calendars for a heartfelt hike, bike, and run event dedicated to honoring the sacrifices made by the brave individuals from the Coal Branch. From mining tragedies to wartime fatalities, many lives have been lost, and on specific dates like June 17, 1950, and August 5, 1942, Cadomin witnessed profound losses.
Join us in supporting Hinton Search and Rescue (HSAR) as we commemorate these sacrifices. Take part in an approximately 7-9 km loop trail connecting two cemeteries and the beautiful river trail on the eastern edge of Cadomin. You can start anytime after 07:00 and complete as many loops as you wish until 19:00.
🚶♀️ How to Participate:
- Walk, hike, run, or bike at your own pace.
- Pledge a dollar amount for each loop you complete.
- Take as long as you like; make it a self-supported ultra if you'd like!
I'll be there to guide the first loop and provide a map for easy navigation.
🎈 What to Expect:
- No admission cost, but your pledge commitment is appreciated.
- A kids' playground will be the staging area.
- Merchandise will be available for participants to wear!
- Join us in raising awareness and funds for a great cause!
Interested? Message me through this page for more info! Note: This event is informal and participation is at your own risk as we navigate through the woods.
