Join us on Saturday, 18th July 2026 for the unforgettable Beyond Manchester event hosted by Wild Deer Events. This is not just a run; it’s a thrilling journey through the hidden gems surrounding Manchester with two exciting routes:

🏃‍♂️ 55KM Ultra Route

• Start at the scenic Castlefield area, winding through the vibrant atmosphere of the city.
• Journey along the Manchester Ship Canal before heading south through Salford Quays and past iconic spots like the BBC buildings.
• Don’t miss stunning views at the Imperial War Museum North and a glimpse of Old Trafford!
• Continue your adventure through Eccles and onto a disused railway, inching north towards Bolton and then east to Bury.
• Enjoy over 10 km on the Irwell Sculpture Trail, soaking in breathtaking views of the Irwell Valley before circling back to the city center, passing magnificent cathedrals and historical landmarks.

🏃‍♀️ 25KM Trail Option

• Start in the Castlefield area and follow a similar path, soaking in the sights of the canal and famous buildings.
• Experience the beauty of the Bridgewater Canal and scenic views past the Imperial War Museum North and Old Trafford.
• Make your way through Eccles towards the River Irwell before your journey concludes back in Manchester City Centre, showcasing the rich historical architecture.
