🌟 Immerse yourself in the treasures of the Ulster Folk Museum during an exclusive guided tour! On 28th March from 17:00 - 19:00, join our Built Heritage and Capital Projects Manager, Katherine McClean, as she reveals the meticulous efforts involved in preserving our remarkable collection of historical buildings. 🏛️
This special event will delve into the fascinating journey of these structures, many of which were relocated and reconstructed on site as early as the 1960s, with origins tracing back to the mid-1700s!
👣 What to Expect:
- Witness traditional conservation techniques like thatching and lime parging in action.
- Explore areas usually off-limits to the public!
Important Information:
- Please gather outside the museum shop at the start of the tour.
- Dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear, as the tour involves outdoor walking on potentially uneven and muddy grounds.
- Your ticket grants you all-day access to the Ulster Folk Museum.
- For any access queries, contact us at info@nationalmuseumsni.org in advance.
