2026 Texas Water Safari

Join us for the Texas Water Safari—dubbed “The World’s Toughest Canoe Race!” 🌊🚣‍♂️
Gear up for an epic adventure from Friday, June 12, 2026, 9 a.m. (race start) to Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 1:00 p.m. (finish deadline) at 201 San Marcos Springs Dr, San Marcos, TX 78666.

Entry Fees:

• $250 (until March 27)
• $300 (until May 1)
• $350 (until May 15)
  Note: Team captains compete for free! No captain changes after registration closes. Ensure registration by May 3 to secure your prelim finish starting position.

Dive into the legend that began in 1963 when Frank Brown and Bill "Big Willie" George embarked on a 260-mile journey in a motorless boat from San Marcos to Corpus Christi. Today, the Texas Water Safari remains a relentless non-stop marathon across challenging rivers and breathtaking landscapes.
Whether aiming for victory or the coveted finisher's patch, participants are in for a genuine test of endurance and skill.

Race Guidelines:

• Bring all essentials; no items may be purchased or delivered during the race, except water and ice.
• Each team requires a captain (18+) to track their location and provide hydration.
• Teams can only receive verbal assistance during the race. Sleep is optional, but teams must meet mandatory checkpoint cutoffs to finish within the 100-hour limit.
